Sorry Megan,

our web host in the US had a hard drive crash, and the backup didn't
work.
They are doing a data recovery, (long story) and the estimate is around
midnight our time, so I hope we are back in business tomorrow.
We currently have no incoming email also.

Don posted good 12 minutes before me but my news server has not updated or I
would not have bothered with guesswork.

not only to CD-ROM Eric, but I have a disk caddy system, and **ALL** my
drives are removable.
I ghost all data every day without fail, and I swap my backup drives to
alternates each day also, as well as keeping a copy of files off site.

But I have no control over what my US web host does.
If it was a simple single site, I would have just thrown it on another
server and shifted the DNS pointers, but it is not that easy.
With four domains, many auto-responders, email forwarding addresses,
password protected directories, mailing lists, cgi-bin attributes, and a
whole bunch of things I may miss, or could be easily mucked up, such as
perl sub directory addressing if on another server, I am waiting it out,
and getting some other work done, rather than run around like a headless
chook. :)

I have shifted domains 3 times this year, so I know how much work is
involved, and this was done in a carefully choreographed fashion. I
wouldn't like to do it in panic mode. I am getting too long in the tooth
for that. :)

We hope to have it all back up in the next 2 or 3 hours.

Due to a major service problem with our web hosts, we have just suffered
through 3 days of no Web Pages and no Email. We apologize for this
inconvenience. All systems are working now. We have been in business
since 1964, so they don't get rid of us that easily. :)
