Greetings.

Radio Parts sell the following P.A.

PA935 35WATT PA AMP INTERM
Code: 01455049

They claim it has a balanced 6.5mm jack.

I thought only a 3 pin XLR jack would be balanced.

Could the 6.5mm jack be a 3 terminal stereo type,
I have never seen a mic. with a stereo plug.

If the jack is really unbalancd, how should I connect
a balanced mic. with a XLR plug?

"balanced" refers to the signal, not the jack. You could twist the wires
together and it would still be balanced. :)

Balanced 6.5mm sockets are common on some sound desks and some audio
equipment. e.g. the Sennheiser ew100 series radio receivers use stereo
6.5mm sockets as its balanced output - you've gotta go the model above
for balanced XLR. Plug in a standard mono lead and it'll become an
unbalanced output.

I can't remember which is which on the TRS, but basically you just
connect the gnd, cold, and hot wires to the three TRS terminals.

Tip = Hot Ring=Cold Sleeve=gnd
