Display.drf colors limitation

Hi All,

One of my friend gave me display.drf file and the colors gets repeats
after some time when I highlight net .....please suggest me some way
so that colors dont get repeat.... and I will have many more number of
colors.....

What do you mean "the colors gets repeats"? I don't understand...

What do you mean "the colors gets repeats"? I don't understand...

Cadence toggles through layer y0, y1, y2,.... when marking nets
(unless you de-select the toggle layer option) , I think they will
start to repeat after y9. You would need to make sure you set the
colors of the these 9 layers to be different, in order to avoid
repeats. After 9 marked nets I'm not sure how to avoid this.

COLORS gets repeated means while highlighting net it assigns one color
to it and when I highlight many nets then it will assign different
colors to diffrent nets but at one point of time it will assign same
color which was assigned earlier to some other net.

like I said, you will see repeated colors after 9 nets are marked,
since Cadence uses y0-y9, but you need to make sure to set the
display.drf such that y0-y9 are different colors to start with or you
will see "repeats" sooner.
