Disassembling the disc tray in a Pioneer DVD player

Well, about 2 hours ago I dropped the damn thing, and the piece that
moves up and down that holds the laser is misaligned. It's the plastic
part that is the problem, not the laser or motor. Now, I'm pretty
sure it would be an easy realignment if I could just remove the part
of the disc tray that actually holds the DVD and slides out of the
unit. It seems to be locked on something. Well, someone put it in
there back in Japan, I should be able to get it back out at my house.
I haven't had a problem taking the unit apart or putting it back
together, but this is holding me up. If anyone could just e-mail me at
Dogwithtoast@juno.com, it would be very much appreiciated. I'd rather
not have to buy a new unit if it's only a mechanical problem. Thanks.

Is there a hole towards the left side that is big enough for a paper
clip to fit in? That would be your tray release.

HTH.
