You may think I am not serious, but I have a friend with one of these
prehistoric machines still working, and after a few hours of basic
servicing, now, it only needs a replacement video heads.
I just wonder if any of you might have one, somewhere hidden with all
those old forgotten and useless parts.

Best from Spain.

Finding parts for this machine is only the half of it.

Finding someone who can actually service it properly is also going to be a
problem.

The video head assemblies on those things were very complex, especially when
you consider how those things achieved automatic tracking as a standard feature
since the format was first introduced.

You can try looking for the parts, but it won't hurt to hunt around for a
replacement Video2000 machine as well.

I would recommend that, when you do find a replacement machine or repair the
VCR you have, you ought to consider making copies of your Video2000 recordings
to a more mainstream format for archival purposes. - Reinhart
