Digitor TV Service/Agent

Can anyone give me a pointer to 'Digitor' brand TV Agent/Importer.

Digitor TV purchased from DSE and from Adelaide they are quoting a 8
week turnaround on service repairs. Unit has to be sent to Sydney for
non-warranty repairs!

What ever happened to customer service!!

This email will probably end up being a slinging match which I don't
mind as long as I end up locating the Agent.

I thought DSE *were* the agent. In fact I had the idea it was badged for
them. Anyway, it's cheap crap - why do you expect decent service for it?
(Didn't want to disappoint you regarding the slanging match!) :)

Isn't Digitor DSE's general name for many of it's electronic
producs sourced from... who knows where?

The TV is probably a generic chassis just take it to your
local TV repair shop.

Ken,

I realise Digitor is not the best brand to purchase, but the unit in
question is perfect for what it was purchased for regarding size etc. A
specific application, physical size limited, where only the Video input
is used.

I took it to joe-blow TV service shop and they said it was a faulty IC
and quoted $200 for replacement. I suspect they didn't want the job!

Hey, you said you were ready for slanging! :) I hear what you say
though - that's why there's a market for the lower end of goods. Did you try
another repairer? Did the guy say which IC was crook? I think you're right
about him not wanting the job, but who knows with odd-ball repair jobs.

Ken

Ken,

I contacted DSE head office complaining about the 8 weeks and was
informed the repair time of 8 weeks was 'out of line' - should be 3 weeks.

I am going to try another repairer first.

Very similar to the motto I use when assessing new projects: "Good, Fast,
Cheap - pick any two"

But they ware suits and ties at the service centre, the work shop is
completely invisible from the opulent reception area and they basically kiss
your ass and get the job done on time the first time.

Your sheep are FAR too ugly and stupid poms are VERY fussy.

You get what you paid for.
Digitor is crap. (as well as many other Chinese brands).
Anyway, agent is Hills Telefix, but why do you have to go to them for
non-warranty repairs? They are SO EXPENSIVE! (I know, I do some work for
them).
Find a good local repair shop.
