"Digital" Transistor sources?

I need some DTB113ES transistors along with some
uPC494GS ICs anyone know of a single source for
20 - 50 pieces transistor and 5 -10 ICs.
Or know a replacement for the DTB113ES that is
more commonly available.
TIA

At one time MCM 1-800-543-4330. Used to sell digital transistors. The
upC494 is also a TL 494 as I remember. Also the TL 594 will upward
replace that. I think anyway.
Good luck.
Phil.

Thanks Phil, no luck at MCM or a few others...
Transistors are the main problem, the IC is SM
type, most could order it, but without the transistors
the IC is useless to me.
Your memory is correct on the IC.

That transistor is nothing more than a
switching transistor + 2 equal resistors.

Depending on whast you want to do
it might be a PITA to subst it, but it
should be doable, nonetheless.

Yes this one uses two 1K resistors but what transistor
would be closest as a sub without the internal Rs?
DTB113ES = 2SB? + 2 1Ks, not a lot of room but
maybe.

I hate to show my ignorance, but, what is a digital transistor?

Mere transistors are not only boring these days, the dice have also shrunk
to smaller sizes than the epoxy molecules in the package that houses them.
So manufacturers have started making "digital" transistors with built-in
resistors from the base to the "base" lead and from base to emitter. That
way you just throw the thing in your circuit and apply your 5 (or 3.3) volts
to the "base" and the collector starts pulling current.

They're handy, they save board space, solder junctions, and they reduce the
bill of materials.
