Hi,

What is the difference (electricaly) between a computer headset and a
telephone headset. If i get a computer headset and build an adaptor to plug it
into a headset capable phone, will that work?

Thanks,

Jason

Depends entirely on the headset and the phone. I've done it, but it isn't
worth the effort (in my case we didn't have access to anything as exotic as
headsets for phones so bodgied some up. Yuk!).

Depends a lot on the phone base you are using.

If you want to plug it in in place of the conventional
handset on one of the older say T200 or T400
phones Telstra supplied for ages, or something
similar, it often wont work.

There's plenty of rather more modern phones
around that do have a socket for a headset,
and it will usually work with those.
