Has Silicon chip had a multiple alarm clock project, something that gives
you a number of alarm during the day, this is just a simple example;
5:30am during weekdays, to wake you up. (of course if you wake up the same
time each day you don't need a alarm clock)
6:30am weekends, to wake you up in the weekends
5:59 pm to draw your attention the 6:00pm news will be on in a minute,
A random alarm anytime 7pm to 10pm to warn you there is rubbish on TV right
now, so turn off the TV (sorry forget that one)

Buy one of those arlec timers that can have multiple programs and hook it
up to some kind of noise making appliance
