diamond crystals using CVD techniques

I wonder if anyone else in here has considered converting an old microwave
oven to grow gem quality diamond crystals using CVD techniques? I would be
interested to find out if this is feasable, if I am on the right track here,
and what precautions might need to be taken to ensure safety. Any input
welcome.

a custom metal high vacuum chamber with tunable resonator, controlled
low pressure gas release, a 1400 degree evenly heated nickel surface,
and years of testing and refining.
