Default virtuoso layout bbox

Hi,
Does anyone know how to change or reset the default bounding box (bBox)
of a layout cell.
Currently when I change something in a cell e.g. I copy some part of
the cell to a corner outside the current cell boundary for later use,
then when I move that part back in, the bBox of the cell remains as
though the part still existed. So when fiddling around in a cell the
bBox tends to get bigger and bigger, but will never decrease. In the
properties menu (Design->properties) I can only read the bBox, I cannot
change it.

Thanks in advance, Wim

It sounds like an old issue caused by a system layer called
changedLayer which is used for Diva's incremental DRC option.

If you make this layer valid and visible and you see that layer
causing your bigger bBox, just run a flat/full Diva DRC on the cell
this will solve it, assuming your using Diva for DRC.
You also can make this layer selectable and reshape it manualy.

Hi Bernd,
Thanks, this indeed solves my problem. We were using assura drc lately
which apparently doesn't reset the bounding box. However with the
chngLyr it is possible to remove the "artifacts" of
fiddling around and get a nice bBox.
