Deccavideo DDV2120 DVDplayer lockup?

Got a DDV2120 which behaves weird.When powered up the green LED for STBY
comes on faintly.But it does not respond to any commands,whatsoever.Upon
opening up,checked the DC rails to DVDunit,5V and 12V.Seems to be ok.Closer
inspection revealed two sucpicious caps(bulging on top!)on the
PSU-Pcb,1000uF,10V Replaced w.1000uF,16V.Still no improvements!Anyone,any
suggestions,before it hit the bin?TIA Tom
 
One could certainly try replacing the caps.....

Why don't you munge it then ? Or altenatively ROT13 it.

Of course it's a bit too late to do anything with your present addy, so
you'd have to change it.

As suggested on the NEWS.DFN.DE website (note: some time ago they changed
their name to news.individual.net), you could use me@privacy.net as e-mail
address.
