I have a 21 inch DEC monitor of about 1997 vintage (Trinitron Tube).
The picture goes out occasionally, as though the pc is going to sleep.
At one time while looking for a driver for this monitor, I came across
a diagnosis of this common problem, and the specific component that
needed to be replaced. I cannot now find the site, but if anyone knows
where this FAQ is or can diagnose the problem, I'd be grateful for the
info. The monitor is in otherwie good shape. Thanks.
