I have a RCA 35" (F35731MB c.1995) that has just died. I suspect it was the
power supply because it had gone out and been repaired in the past. I don't
think I'll be repairing this a second time. Time to move on to a new set. My
question is does this TV have any value to anyone? Or is it just a 250lb.
anchor? Also, what would be a good replacement? I'm not ready for HDTV so
I've been eyeing a Sony KV-36FV310 36". Thanks in advance.

Where are you located? email me if near N.E. Indiana.
Definitely find out if someone will fix the set before putting it in the
landfill.
As to the value, broken, it is worth zero. Actually it will cost you to
throw it away in most parts of the US now.

As to the problem with the set, there are way too many things beyond the
power supply that must be working before the tv will turn on it could be
anything.
