Hi,

I would like to use a "SD Memory Card" in one of my own designs, but can't
find the datasheets (operating conditions, electrical characteristics,
pinouts, timing diagrams, ...) Anyone who can help me ?

Thanks,

SD Card requires $1,000/year to be a licensee. It uses a "secure" format.

MM Card is an open format.

I've seen these adapters in stores where you can plug a SD card into the
adapter and plug the adapter into a CompactFlash slot. In general,
these adapters are just a PC board with passive wiring, so it's likely
that the SD specs are similar to the CF specs, which are also similar to
an IDE interface. But then I can't remember ever seeing the CF card
specs.

I do have full specs of CompactFlash, but i don't think that the adapters
you mention are just passive wired. SD and CF are completely different
(addressed in another way, other control-signals, ...)

Of course it's always possible to produce an adapter like that, but it won't
simply work on any device because there's always the need for an extra
driver that uses the CF-slot in the "wrong" way.
