This part is an 8 pin SOIC with the following marking:

BBOPA
228U
37Z3Y

Google returns lots of hits, but they all are suppliers trying to
sell components with no datasheets even though that's in the
search terms!

Any info appreciated.

Most likely the suppliers don't know what it is either :)
How about Burr-Brown OPA228U?

Bingo! That is almost certainly what it is.

I should have recognized the OPA part.

Google comes up with the stupid suppliers "BBOPA", but
then the links don't go to a datasheet or they then say that
"sorry no info". Moronic search engines!

Thank you! :)
