dance mat switches

hello

I would like to know what kind of switches are used in 'dance mats'
used for playstation dancing games, im guessing they are pressure
switches. Any ideas where i can find these switches in the UK.

The ones I have seen (OEM samples) are a multilayer switch with a
perforated layer separating two conductive sponge layers.
When you aren't stomping on it, the perforated layer keeps the two
conductive sides apart. When you stomp, the conductive layers balloon
through the perforations and touch each other.

The cheapest way to acquire these switches is to paint your own design
onto a cheap dance mat. There are an amazing number of third-party
manufacturers of such a repellent appliance.
