custom logic gates

we build alot of custom logic gates, all full custom layout over and
over again. Im looking for a solution to automate some of this and
maintain VXL connectivity. This could be a programmable logic cell,
pCell, or ?????

Does anyone know of another approach to this methodology?

Thanks

Maybe you could use Virtuoso Custom Placer, and Virtuoso Chip-Assembly Router
(or Virtuoso Space Based Router).

These cells are generic logic gates and the parameters are pushed down
(very old methodology) to
the individual devices. They do not have a unique name nor a layout
view and come in flat (transister
level). VXL maintains the connectivity but they still need to placed
and routed by hand. Using the
Virtuoso placer and router would be a bit of a help but I would like
to take it to the next step.
