Current Regulating Diodes

I seem to be having trouble sourcing the 1N5283 - 1N5314 series of current
regulating diodes. RSAust. has similar, J500 series, but in the wrong
package. Does anyone know where to source these from, other than overseas.

Cheers,
Richie

** You have no option but to go to somone like Mouser.

Yep, thats who I've been ordering from for now. But the US$12 is a bit of a
sting when you only want to order 10 or so components for less than $10. Is
there any reason why these aren't available in Australia? I was surprised to
find they weren't available.

** If a component is not in regular demand locally and then it will not be
stocked. TO92 devices are available that do what you want and so can a
j-fet with one resistor - but you are too fussy.

Until the arrival of Farnell and RS in Australia the situation with all
sorts of components was *very* much worse .

I never said I was too fussy, its just that it needed to fit a premade PCB,
and space is quite restricted. I'll probably just use something in a TO92
package, just have to have longer legs on it. Thanks for the help.

Cheers,
Richard
