Can anyone look up repair tips for RCA CTC169AC at Repair
World,Winstip,Euras,Repair Helper,NESDA,RCA's fix finder software and
any other software for a volume & audio problem for the unit
below?.Thanks.
27" Sears (Canada) stereo tv with S-VHS input,2 sets of RCA inputs,1
set of RCA outputs and a built in amp,model:14260,Sears Canada
Chassis:C543-50920,RCA chassis:CTC169AC,year:Oct 1990.
There is no movie audio (there is but it is very low),there is only no
station(like unplugging the cable from tuner)loud noise (squelch)to
isolate the problem I used the RCA output jacks and connected it to my
commodore 64 video monitor and the problem was still there I also
connected a vcr to both inputs 1 & 2 and problem was still there. The
OSD volume bar graph moves linearly but there are only two settings
for the volume:loud and very loud, again there is only very loud noise
audio not station audio.
I could not find any common repair tips for this chassis with this
problem, anyone know what the culprit is?.
This tv uses U1600=MOS digital stereo processor IC=RCA #
250032=Mitsubishi # M50573P (24 pin DIP IC)
Thanks in advance for responses.
Note this chassis has a seperate audio board and a seperate tuner.
