Dead set caused by tuner ground shield problem. Thanks to Dave Kajuda, Sam
Goldwasser, the FAQ and this group for an easy repair. The EPROM was good
too !!!

Kevin Carney:
You were lucky..... usually most folks continue to nurse the symptoms along
until the set won't power up or they have broken off the antenna
connector...... then the repair job is much more involved and much more
expensive...... and usually the EPROM will be shot too.
