hello! i have to simulate in Verilog how a CROM is working. You have
program lines from CROM? Thank you!

No, I don't know what it means either. I think someone's
bluffing, don't you?

It seems to mean, depending on whom you ask,
Control Read-only Memory ( a couple of acronym finders)
or
Clocked Read-only Memory (Texas Instruments' ASIC info)

I suppose a Control ROM is one that's designed for providing
control information for a microprogrammed thingummywotsit,
or perhaps for a programmable state machine.

I suppose a Clocked ROM is one that has a register on
its address and/or data ports.

Neither of these sounds to me as though it's worth the effort
of an acronym all to itself.

http://www.acronymfinder.com/af-query.asp?String=exact&Acronym=CROM
lists "Cervical Range of Motion" as the mostly likely match.

Thankyou, Allan.

Of course, nobody here would ever be tasteless enough to explore
the wordplay opportunities offered by that fascinating discovery.
