Hi group.
I can't believe this, but they really do use a reverse biased '4148 as
a sort of avalanche diode to trigger the thyristor (sensitive gate
type) on those battery powered gas lighters.
I know you can use 1N4148's as high value resistors on FET circuits
but this is a new one entirely.
Anyone else seen this?
