cotton-insulated wire

Guest
I thought this stuff might be sold for nostalgia restoration projects,
but one vendor has this bullshit-

Jupiter wire products are all of high purity metals with natural cotton or silk insulation. Plastic insulation and coatings can have strained or glaring sonic attributes which are unnatural to the ear. Cotton and Silk insulation acts as a brous matrix for separating wires while maintaining a predominantly air dielectric, sonically very natural and open. So many of the modern innovations do not translate to better or more natural sound.

"Bybee Quantum Purifiers operate on the quantum mechanical level to
regulate the flow of electrons that make up the signal (picture a

Quantum Purifier is unimpeded and ideal (think of the unencumbered flow
of traffic on a lightly traveled expressway). During transit through the
Quantum Purifier, quantum noise energy is stripped off the electrons,
streamlining their flow through ensuing conductors. Unwanted quantum

emerging as a layer of contamination residue over the audio/video

Well, it's logical that a different dielectric constant in the
insulation gives a different characteristic impedance of the cable, so
yes, I can imagine that the insulating material has an influence on the
perceived sound. Especially at the higher frequencies it's important
that the group velocities don't differ too much between frequencies
because that would negatively influence the phase relationship between
the highs and lows, leading to a totally different sound image from
how the instruments sound in reality.

Where can I buy those cables?

Pretty standard audiophool bullshit.

No, I haven't yet Trev, although I must confess I haven't yet gone to
much effort. No sign of them in Launceston. I can order them direct
from Belle Fleur I suppose... The dark pudding, rose, fig & honey and
grape sounds really good.

I ordered two boxes of ten choccies - one for me and one as a gift.
(Thanks very much for the offer of picking some up for me Trev, most
appreciated)

Mona... I still haven't been there despite wanting to. I very rarely
go down to Hobart, and when I have it's nearly always been for
business of some sort. Several friends have been to Mona and rave
about it. Come to think of it, I haven't even been to Hobart this
year... about a seven hour round trip for me is why.
