copy to another schematic

Hi,

I want to copy elements from one schematic to another (Virtuoso Schematic
Editor). How can I do that ?

Make sure you have both target and source schematics open. In the target
schematic make sure that there is no active command (press ESC a couple of
times). In the source schematic select all the elements that you want to
copy and press keyboard key c (or choose Edit->copy from the menu). Set the
reference point for the copy. Now the elements should 'stick' to your mouse
pointer. With the elements sticking to your mouse pointer, move the mouse
from the source schematic window to the target schematic window. You will
see that the elements are still sticking to the mouse pointer. Now click
left mouse button on the location where you want your copied elements to
live. Important is that the target schematic window must not have any
command active.

As far as my experience tells me, it is not possible to dive down into the
hierarchy, select something to copy and then move back up to paste it. This
is a feature that I very often miss.

Okay, this was also my problem. I tried to copy it to a lower hierarchy
level.
