Hi
I don't know if this right group to answer my question but maybe someone can
help.

I have a caravan and when away on site I have a night light on though the
night.

The nightlight bulb is 12 volt 100 ma.Power is supplied from a 12volt DC
90 amphour battery.

Q
Can anyone tell me approx how many hours this setup would take to consume
one (1)
amp from the battery please.

Many thanks.

100 ma = .1 amp, 1 amphour/ .1 amp = 10 hrs

Never have managed to maintain an understanding of battery capacity, every
time I get told about it I forget and go back to thinking that a 90 Ah
battery will provide one amp for 90 hours or 90 amps for one hour. Why i
cant sort this simple thing out baffles me.

: Hi Jay and Mike

Many thanks for that, that sort of drain I off can live with.

I'm not afraid of the dark :),have a young puddy that needs to be watched
if she's moving
around.
Just out of interest I have some other lights same as the one I'm useing but
with 250v 100ma
bulbs in,would these be better or worse for amp drain off with 12dc.

Many thanks again.

If you tried drawing 90Amps for one hour the battery could explode.
Other than that your theory is intact.
