Conia TV schematics & service mode

Friend of mine bought a Conia 80cm TV a little while ago. It has a
keystone problem and he has lost the reciept, so no warantee. It looks
like a crap TV and was wondering if it's possible to get schematics
and/or service mode info for these TV's.

I have a vested interest in seeing the TV repaired as it is our main
sport tv. Nothing like a few beers under a mates house and watching
sport!

** He can prove when and where he bought the set by use of credit card
details or cheque details - or if he had any witnesses present.

** Keystone is gonna be an adjustment via the service menu which will
require a code to be entered on the remote - you did not supply the set's
model number needed for that.

Contact the importers for tech info, any Conia dealer should be able to tell
you who that is if you ask real nice ;-)

And there in lies the problem, no proof of purchase when you pay cash.
I dare say there may possible be an eftpos transaction somewhere along
the line though I doubt it will be of any use.

I pretty much figured that. I dont have details on the model at this
point in time, but will get them very shortly when I head there for
the sunday session!

It was purchased through a K-Mart type store, and I dont fancy my
chances of getting any usefull info from them.

** Most stores have an invoice book with all sales included - if you
know the date ( +/- a few days) they can look it up.

** An 80 cm set needs to be delivered - no docket for that either ???

This is starting to look suspicious .......

I'll suggest that.

Not suspicious at all. This set was purchased with a DVD player in a
bundle. Not sure how they got it home, but you have got me curious
now. I'm not so sure that it would fit into the back seat of a car.
I'll ask that question.

Not if you pick up and deliver it yourself. I know firsthand that an
80cm Sanyo TV fits easily in a two-door hatchback. It would be even
less trouble with a ute or trailer, or maybe a stationwagon.

Not necessarily kept.

Only if you are into mindless conspiracy theorys.

That is true of the 80cm Grundig with all except the hatch.

Probably would go in a Diahatsu hatch, been a while since I drove one.

The person in question has a VN Stateman. I didn't think the unit
would even fit through the door.

Nope. I used some lateral thinking, ie an "out-of-the-box" approach.
The cardboard went underneath the TV, and the foam packaging went
around the CRT. FWIW, the same car once carried seven A/N video
terminals ... all unpacked, and I also managed to fit a four drawer
metal filing cabinet, and even a tall aluminium step ladder inside it,
but not all at the same time.
