OK, so... having mariwhottit my lamb in mint stuff I have to cook roast
potaoes in the same oven and do some veggies with gravy. I parboiled the
potatoes and they almost fwell to pices before I could put them in the
roasting tray so I put them in the tray with some cr4isp and dry on the
shelf above the other one.

Then I put my mirinated lamb chops in a wrapper of foil asnd stuck it on the
shelf below the other one.

Now it is cooking...

The instructions said it would take 55 minutyes for the potatoes but I'm za\
sort of slow cooking sort of person so I'll just check it every so often.
Gas mark 7... more like Gasd mark 3

I expect to extract the fat from the lamb for my Gravy. Shit I can't even
pretend to be pissed, wiered. And do it with some, just have to check.....
Bisto granules for gravy dishes, bollicks... chicken disshes.

Excellent...

No.... it's rubbish

These roasties are nothing like what mum used to make. I'll cook them some
more.

Bugger, that's going to be crap. Don't buy lamb chops and marinate it in a
whole jar of mint stuff then cook it without removing the mint stuff.....

Time for a rescue.....

Gravy.....

Arse....

That is one messed up meal.

Arse me sideways..... rather tasty. Roasties were a bit greasy but sweet.
Veggies were too crunchie, gravy was nice....

Lamb was succulent..... slurp . Don't know if you can bugger up lamb?

Monster....

She enjoyed it too.

All I have to do now is sneak off to bed and avoid a shag.

Wish me luck.

Deena,

Since I'm a bit dense, I was wondering if you were speaking metaphors
for describing AC and DC? ;-)

Thanks,

I don't understand.... unless you are making references to a previous thread
about the relative niceties of AC and DC.

Cooking with gas involves gas coming out of the cooker and being burnt to
heat the food.... Don't know about that electrical type stuff that makes
everything boil over, very unforgiving.

Eating food, ultimately.... might, involve gas coming out of your arse.
Wether you choose to light it or smell it might be an experience that could
be personal or shared with others.

If you are a proctologist, and good looking, then I might float both ways.

How long did you boil the spuds for? Eight minutes is about right, then
drain them and shake them about in the pan to fluff up the surface. Put
them in a roasting tin with some oil, turn them in the tin to coat with
oil, sprinkle with salt and roast for 40 minutes at 200C then for 10
minutes at 230C, turning them a few times. You should get nice crisp
roast potatoes with soft insides.

Leon
Yabbut.....

OK, I shouldn't complain.....

But, there's spudz that do one thing when you boil them and others that do
something different.

All this gaying about with them by boiling them and shaking them about is
rubbish. They'll either fall to pieces or not and then just go soggy and
soak up fat.

No, take fresh ones... cut them into bits and roast them. Turn them regul;ar
(discretion required) until the outsides look good.

Practice a bit.

There is absolutely no way I am going to boil my spudz before I roast them
again.

New fangled load of rubbish if you ask mee, and the result isn't very
cruchchy.

Rub with olive oil and Kosher salt, then wrap lightly in a dampened
paper towel. Nuke for 5 minutes. Marvelous "baked" potato ;-)

I love to cook with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food.

You are using the wrong spuds! Try Desiree, the red ones. They don't
fall apart when boiled.

Leon
That is cool.....

I sort of knew because Mum has mentioned it.

I will try again because I have some spudz and lamb chops left over.... as
well as some Lincolnshire sausages.

This time I shall try to catch the spudz before they suffer China White and
make sure the fat iz nice and hot before they get delivered to it.

Mind you.... I'm cooking the lamb chops and sausages in the same oven.

It's quite hard, this cooking stuff....
