Great watch. Bought about 12 months ago. Works great. Accurate time. Use it when swimming and not a drop of moisture ever gets in. Just make sure the crown is screwed down tight before you go into the water. The moderate size of the watch is really nice. It can be worn for dress or sports. My wife has the smaller womens version and she loves it also. I hope this watch or an upgraded version is around when this one wears out.
First of all I LOVE this watch, it's really nice... BUT the box came a little ripped and stunk like an old product... DESPITE ALL these, It's an eco drive, it's COOL, ecological, never needs a battery and has a good price!Thank you amazon!
This was one of Citizen's first "eco drive" watches and is still in production! Mine is the "Diver's 200m" and somewhere along the way Citizen upgraded it to 300m without changing the design. It's worked perfectly for me for over 10 years and remains one of my favorites due to its brushed steel finish, textured dial, raised hour markers and unique hands. Keep in mind that this is one of the smallest mens dive watches on the market to choose. The case measures 40mm diagonally, however, the outer bezel ring measures 38mm across. So by the time you work your way into the dial, the watch appears to be smaller than other 40mm watches and the trend today is to produce dive watches much greater than 40mm. However, I haven't bought into wearing the new HUGE styles and think this watch is the right size. I ditched the rubber band right off and have worn various 20mm bands with it. I've been waiting for Citzen to come out with stainless steel watchband for it to dress it up. It has a classic minimalist style with a unique look that doesn't try to copy any other brands.
I've had this watch 2 1/2 years. it's been back for repair 4 times. The only good thing was the J&R jeweler's warranty. First the metal band broke after a year. I could live with that but 20 months it started to loose time. I put up with this for a couple of months. Than it would stop running. The manual claims it will run for 6 months after full charge. I charged it according to the manual, stopped after two weeks. Took it to J&R they sent it back. Waited 6 weeks got it back, nothing was fixed. Sent back 3 more times(a month wait each time) and still has not been fixed. The $10 walmart special I bought as backup keeps better time and when it stops, for $10 a new watch. Save your $200 don't buy this watch.
I have had the older version of this same watch (a battery operated model) for 20 years and it's been a great watch. But thanks to daily wear it's looking pretty battered, so for appearance sake (mostly at work) I upgraded to this solar model. I love it! And I'll never have to take it in to get a new battery or worry afterwards if the seal will hold while swimming, kayaking or body-surfing. After years of wearing my old watch with nylon/velcro watch bands this new rubber watch band feels bulky and uncomfortable, so I have ordered a military style, black nylon band to replace the rubber one. This watch, mildly altered by the nylon band I ordered separately, is superb.
The men's Eco-Drive Professional Diver contains a screw-down crown on a solid one-piece case, for a fantastic water resistance of 300 meters. Enjoy the use of a one-way rotating elapsed-time bezel, luminous hands and markers, and date display, all on a comfortable black polyurethane strap.
