Circuit Board Repair

Guest
I have a friend who is an electrical engineer by training and is very
competent at circuit board repair. He has a customer who makes
industrial equipment that sends their boards to him to repair.
Apparently they are pleased with his work and have been sending him
boards for 8-10 years. He needs additional income and would like to
add to his business but doesn't know how to advertize his services.

Can you offer any ideas about how he can go about this?

Have your friend replace the concept of "how to advertize" (you might want
to use your spell checker) with the concept of marketing and selling his
services by personally contacting the types of companies that could most
benefit from his services...... it will take a little research but this will
have much better results than a shotgun approach of mass advertising. It is
much like looking for a good position or job..... you usually don't do well
by advertising .... the best results will be had by narrowly focused
soliciting of business opportunities. Remember the old tried and trued
sales approach of selling your prospective customer on benefits of your
services to him.
