CHristmas lights flasher

I have some christmas lights that just stay on, and I was wondering if
anyone knows of a flashing circuit I could use to make them flash?

switch ?*&% only kidding ..well that is still a flasher ..that was the
reason for my posting re X10 controllers that attach to PC's and
depending on the software you use ... can do all sorts of fancy flash
timing ..
