ESCONDIDO â A registered sex offender on probation was arrested Thursday
on suspicion of exposing himself in a crowded convenience store last
week, Escondido police said.
The incident occurred June 3 at a 7-Eleven store, police said. A man
walked up to the counter with two drinks to purchase, and he exposed
himself to the clerk as he handed her money, police said. The clerk gave
him his change and called 911.
Investigators were able to identify the man as a 43-year-old sex
offender convicted of a lewd act with a child under the age of 14. He
was arrested Thursday on suspicion of indecent exposure and violating
his probation.
