Yes, if you see REAL Cerenkov radiation, RUN!!! I've viewed it through
about 40 feet of water in a pool reactor. If there isn't a hell of a lot of
some kind of shielding between you and the glow, you're in trouble.

Unless it at the bottom of a deep pool of water.
