Check if a dbId exists in database

How to check if a dbId exists in the database in SKILL

I have a list of shapes(shape ids) I want to know if they have been
deleted already or if they still exist in the data base.

Perhaps dbIsId, but I don't know how far the checks go. And even if it
works there is a risk of false positive (id are recycled and afer
deletions and creations you may end up with a valid id which you don't
want to use because the object you wanted has been deleted and its id
reused for something new).
