Cheap Voltage Tester

I bought a screwdriver-type tester for a buck, it has a tiny LCD display and
two finger contacts, labelled 'Direct Test' and 'Inductance Break-point
Test'.
The 'Direct Test' works as you would expect and identifies the Active in a
GPO, but I'm not sure how the other one functions.
No instructions came with it - anyone got one of these ?

Yeah, looks the same but no brand-name on it. Mine is sold as a voltage
tester, no mention of audio use.
How can it measure DC????

Yes it does, but it also matches the OPs description.

Surely you can work out that that they are simply trying to create an
audiofool market for it.
