I've had the EPP-2 (serial i/f), since 1998 and it served me well (was given
it for nothing). It was available then from Maplin but I have no idea of
their current UK peddlers.

Build or buy?

Will you consider a costlier, harder to find, but pin compatible that
can be programmed with a simple circuit?

Do you already have a device with a 29F040 chip with on-board
upgrade/programming facilites?

Buy, im too lazy ;)

I dont have any device.. I tried to program one of the chips in an older
motherboard
but it seems not all the address lines are connected as it only programmed
128KB.

I thought I might as well buy a programmer for a few bob but cant seem to
find any
less than Ł500.
