Let me kindly inform you that the guest editors of EURASIP ASP Special Issue
on Hardware Implementation of Machine Vision Systems cordially invite you to
submit a paper. The deadline for paper submission is scheduled for November
15, 2012. Please, find more information in the attachment.
This special issue will cover all aspects related to research contributions
as well as review articles that address recent developments in the hardware
implementation of machine vision systems using FPGAS/GPUS/ASICs/MultiCores.
Original papers describing completed and unpublished work not currently under review
by any other journal, magazine, or conference are solicited.
Specific topics include but are not limited to, the following:
* Image analysis: edge detection, segmentation, pattern
recognition, object recognition, and interpretation
* Image enhancement: filtering, noise removal,
enhancement, and restoration
* Image/Video compression
* Image reconstruction
* Image similarity and image retrieval
* Satellite image processing
* Medical image processing

* Neuromorphic and bioinspired vision systems
* Video processing and retrieval
