G'day everyone,

When replacing a ceramic IF-filter (like the Murata SFE 10.7 F), does
it matter which side is input and which output, or are they
reversible? Can't for the life of me find this info... If anyone has
an idea, I'd be interested.

(Note: this problem is not related to my other post on the handytalkie
Standard C-500).

Grtz,

This depends on the design of the filter. There are many types of
configurations. You must enquire to the manufacture for this type of
data. Or, see if you can get their data sheets on the device.

I have never had a problem with any Murata 3 leg filter. Either way round
is good to go

The red dot seems to be the input in circuits I've seen it in. I think
it doesn't matter but I could be wrong.

.... Is reactance then illusory? No, it just appears that way...
