Cell Phone Question

Hello,

I want to use a cell phone in my science fair project. What I need to
know is how I could use it to complete an electrical circuit. I want to
rig wires to it so it lights a little light bulb for something else.

I thought of simply splicing wires to the little ringer, but when I
opened it up I didn't see one. I think the sound is coming from a chip.
Would I run the wires from the output leads on the chip or how does this
work.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated. I can't thank you guys enough for
being here.

Thanks again.

Tommy

It's no problem, you just wire the detonator leads directly across the
ringer chip. If the ringer isn't powerful enough just put in a small
preamp.

Whoa! You're cookin' today. Your answer is a tough act to follow...so I
won't even try ;-)
