In the UK most of us don't care who the US president is.

However in this case I will consider the following points.....

We can't make enough decent TV to fill half an evening here.

The TV you send us is crap (apart from the SImpsons).

Except for when it involves a war. It *does* make good TV.

Dubbya is most likely to start more wars.

So we get the best TV with Dubbya in power.

Well done for re-electing the greatest war monger the world has seen for a very
long time.

And South Park. But we used to make great TV in the good old days...

Mr. Pastry.
The Billy Cotton Band Show.
Crackerjack.
Dixon of Dock Green.
Harry Worth.
Charlie Drake.
Compact.
Rag, Tag and Bobtail.
The White Heather Club.

Serious error.
All shortcuts have disappeared.
Screen. Mind. Both are blank.

The others are but trivia from that era ('cept for Crackerjack) but as a
kid I really liked Charlie Drake. Remember looking forward to his next new
series, "Sylvia" (or something). Assumed it'd be the slapstick stuff us kids
loved him for. Turned out to he'd written a serious drama out a man looking
for a lost love. His career and our support ended there and then. The
b*****d had let us down!.
Wondered if that was where the legend of clowns wanting to do Shakespeare,
emanated from.

A character who combined the moral integrity of Sid James, the
confidence of Tony Hancock, the poise of Harry Worth and the social
skills of Steptoe.

I thought he was the guy who did "Connections" and "The Day The
Universe Changed".

Seriously. So please enlighten me, if you'd be so kind.

Thanks,

Well, yeah - I specifically called it out just because it _is_ an
oddity. :)

Thanks!
