What does this have to do with \"the judicial system failing people by letting criminals walk free\".

Neither the victim/thief nor the killer car owner is identified as having any criminal history, and it notorious that catching and convicting criminal doesn\'t have much effect on the incidence of crime. If we didn\'t do it at all there would presumably be more crime, but small variations in the enthusiasm of the police do seem to get washed out by changes in the local economy.

There are people who are good for nothing and unemployable regardless of the state of the economy.

I\'d recommend a week or more off of reading online news for you Fred.

Your blood pressure will drop, and you will see that most humans you
meet are nice people that you would like to get to know better.

There are jerks and dangerous people out there, but vigilantism never
solved that problem. Reminds one of witch trials and lynching.

Truth and Reconciliation seems to be a good path to follow these days
