It's not made to run any unbalanced signal. It's made for a
structured wiring system. Ask your question on comp.dcom.cabling for
some more informed answers.

Yes if you put converter boxes to the both ends of the cable.
There are many companies that does this kind of devices.
The cost ofthis kind of converter is typically few hundred
US dollars or so.
