Car thermometer

I have connected one indoor-outdoor thermometer to my car (outdoor
sensor located behind the front bumper)

Temperature shown is inaccurate when the car is parked especially the
hot sunny days. When the car starts going the temperature gradually
falls but almost never reaches the real ambient temperature. It is
average 3-4C more than the real.

Can I solve this problem by a resistor and if yes where? I mean do I
have to connect it to the one of the two cables that go from the
sensor to the LCD?

Sorry for these stupid questions but I am a beginner...

The temperature sensor is probably doing exactly what it is intended
to do - it reports the temperature of the air it finds itself in.
(Lousy english, but it is the best I can do )

What is the temperature _inside_ the car on a hot sunny day? It will
be well above ambient (weather service reported) temperature. The
temperature behind the bumper (especially if the sun is hitting the
bumper) will likewise be higher than ambient.

When the car is moving, the temperature sensor will be cooled a bit by
the moving air, but will also be warmed by the heat radiated from the
road surface - so will still read warmer than ambient.
