I have a car stereo CD/tuner, "Recoton Audio Corporation" model XCD9020,
which is putting out a constant 3VDC or so on all four speaker outputs
while on. The speakers are driven by two integrated amplifiers,
TDA15580, that I can't find any documentation on. (I don't believe they
are at fault / have failed simultaneously, but knowing their inputs
might be helpful.) Any recommendations?
Also, I have noticed that at least one of the ICs has had any
identifying markings purposefully sanded off, presumably by the
manufacturer. Why do they do this? (Do they actually have a room with
people paid to sand the numbers off chips?)
