TV turned off for no reason.......................
Checked it and it blew the HOT (shorted)
Blew also a 5.6ohm 7 watt resistor (opened)
Replaced both parts and TV fired up as usual....
30 Minutes later TV shuts down again............
This time blowing the HOT again and the fuse.................
Replaced the HOT and fuse and monitored the HOT.............
HOT got very hot quickly..... Couldn't touch the heat sink..........
So I stratched my head and I am still looking at it..........
Is there a quick fix for this???
Any help would be appreciated.......

Thanks

Did you use an ESR meter to test the caps???

A standard cap meter, will not tell you if the cap is not performing
under its working conditions.

I have had defective caps, and or a bad flyback assy, cause these
types of failures in TV sets. This is not uncommon, but can be a bit
difficult to resolve at times. Also check the high speed rectifiers on
the secondary side of the flyback as well.

If you are not used to working on these types of problems, you may
find yourself going through a lot of resistors, and HOT's!

Thanks for the info......
All Capacitors are good and within specs............

Could it be the yoke? or the flyback?

B+ is good as well and within it's limits...

Anymore reccomendations?

Check capacitors near the HOT and in the B+ output of the power supply, if
they fail the ripple will cause the HOT to run very hot.

replave the L.O.P.T ( line output transformer)
