Can I connect two global nodes in a Dracula LVS Spice netlist?
(i.e. if my netlist includes the globals "vdd1" and "vdd2",
is it possible to connect them?)
The Dracula Reference (rev 4.8.1, June 2000) seems to be
ambiguous on this.
The section on the "*.EQUIV" statement (p.174) suggests yes. It says:
The *.EQUIV command works in one of three ways:
....
Equates power and ground nodes. For example,
*. EQUIV VDD=vdd1 VDD=vdd2
However the section "Preparing Spice files" suggests no. After saying
that the way to connect two nodes is using a 0V voltage source, it
says:
"You cannot connect global nodes to global nodes."
So: can I or can't I?
Thanks in Advance
