CAN BUS !!!

Hello everyone,
Is there anybody here who can tell me how far CAN BUS is employed in
cars? and If so, do they follow any (ISO)standard ? Is there an easy
way (any connector for example) to read the data on the bus ?

I'm not an expert but I've done research on this. CAN is mostly used
on higher end vehicles (e.g. Porshe Cayenne); most of the cars on the
road currently use OBD2 instead of CAN.
