Can a relay rated for 110V 15 Amps be used safely on a 220V 7.5 Amp device?
Specifically, I want to use a "X-10 appliance module" to switch a 220V AC
unit (7.5 amp) in my home.
I have found both 110 and 220 volt appliance modules, but the 220v ones have
a really loud relay click
that will be disturbing when it is switching on and off the bedroom AC/heat.
The 110v unit is 80% quieter.
