CAD Administrator/ Contract/ Indiana
We have a situation where a company is trying to pull together
drawings from
several systems to one system. Below is what he wrote to us. This
should be a
three month or longer assignment in Elkhart, IN. All work must be done
on-
Site. If you feel you can solve the problem below and are interested,
please forward
your resume to tgugger@bex.net.
We have a situation here in Elkhart and I wondered if you may be in
a position to help.
When we moved the Smith Specialty Group (SSG) brands to Elkhart, we
physically moved their servers, PLM systems and workstations, but we
dont really have control of it yet. My team is mostly Electrical
engineers, so were not the most experienced with the mechanical cad
packages we inherited (Solid Works.)
Most of our documentation is vaulted in their system which makes
hiring outside services or even borrowing internal help especially
cumbersome.
Ideally, Id like to contract someone who has CAD administrator
competence / experience to reverse-engineer the SSG CAD systems and
strategy, then meet with the Hutchinson CAD head to propose and
(possibly) implement the merger or at least co-existence of the
systems. Minimal implementation includes getting the documents out of
the vault system and onto a more centralized storage location without
breaking anything.
Sound like something you can help with? If so, email resume to
tgugger@bex.net.
