Ciranova made a contribution to Si2 for a basic PCell caching
mechanism that you can integrate with a tool building on OpenAccess.
This is indeed open source and should be compatible with DM4, although
you need access to SI2 to download.

Ciranova PCell Xtreme is a licensed product that can be used with any
OpenAccess tool to cache any type of PCells, including Skill (in/out
of Virtuoso and out of Virtuoso and into other OA tools - Calibre,
Synopsys Custom Designer, Laker etc)

Not Open Source, but Virtuoso has an "express pcells" plugin which allows cached
pcells to be used in OA applications. See the documentation for IC612/3.

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,
I have been using Express Pcells but it holds up the
license for the entire session and this is why I am looking for a tool
that would'nt use Opus License.
